The Ummed Jodhpur Palace Resort & Spa

Visiting from US, decided to stay at this property with my parents. It’s a beautiful and peaceful property. Entire staff is very courteous and professional. We were greeted by Tapasya, she took care of check in quickly. Their food is delicious and breakfast is must have, Neetu was very courteous in the restaurant and the food variety is meant for everyone.I would definitely come back, it was very comfortable stay for my elderly parents also and we thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful pool views.

Hospitality of the restaurant staff was exceptional. Extremely sweet and warm.

food taste could be improved. The food could be improved. Especially the curries could have tasted better. Something was missing in the curries.

Clean, spacious, and luxurious rooms

When I booked the room in this hotel via Booking.com, it showed it as a 5-star hotel, but to my disappointment, it was not a 5-star property. This is not correct. I would demand that Booking.com reimburse me the full amount. Otherwise, I will stop using Booking.com, of which I am an old loyal customer. Thankj you. Jagdish Ladha

Staff

Some staff members were good.The property is good but construction is going on nearby and that is a problem. My car's tire burst because of this reason.

1. Was served hot coffee when asked for cold coffee.2. Issue related to booking platform. Room issues. Triple occupancy room issues.3. Moth(insect) in the bed. I have a video of the same.4. Towels missing at poolside.5. Staff missing from reception at times.6. Asked for the guests id, 3days after check-in out.7. Valley parking unavailable at night.And there were several other complaints as well which were communicated multiple times to the manager on duty.

Its built luxuriously well, and if someone like a Taj or Leela runs it, it would command much higher price than what it does today. Great Architecture, Ample open space, great room size, nice views from room window, great art pieces, gives you rich cultural feeling. Peacocks in the garden, dancing, and chirping, other birds and flowers on the compound, lawn furniture, they have got it all.

Location, Cleanliness , food - if this place is managed professionally, it will command much high price because of the enormous space they have and they way it is built. Overall the place is clean, but could do better where it matters the most - like pool, restaurant. Its a huge place and cleaning it like a star hotel is expensive, but then leaving it like this is ironical. Appears like a family run business, maybe marked a 5 star by local standards, definitely not by national or international standards. It appears far from the city, although its only 10 KM from the airport, but cab drivers try to take advantage on the name of distance, road condition etc. If they really play it well, like offer complimentary transport, improve on food and cleanliness, and hire a few professionally trained hotel management folks, its a jewel hidden in dirt.

Property is awesome.They have really nice location, staff is generously good.Complementary breakfast is good.You can have good candle light dinner.I also enjoyed swimming pool.

Bed can be better. they should have good ortho supportive bed not spring one.

Arpit and Kaushik were lovely and went out of their way to serve us. Consequently, we looked forward to breakfast and evening meals.

The hotel needs a good dusting. The carpet outside the bedrooms needs replacement with hard flooring. The hotel plants and lawn are beautiful, but the hotel needs a new lick of paint.

Beds were uncomfortable. Leakage in bathroom.Bathtub wasn’t clean.Tv set is too tiny.In short horrible experience.

It was fair value

It was a bit run down. The Carpet in the corridors needed to washed or even better thrown out. With all the dust it’s a mistake to have them.The bar was pretty sad.

It’s spread across lavish grounds and has a very royal feel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

It has been neglected to the point that it is just about basic in everything. The gym and all the other facilities are non-existent. Nothing resort or spa about the property.

Buffet menu could have been better, the springs beds are very soft but causes back ache.

Apart from the location, everything was good.

Location of property and the roads leading to this place are pathetic as they are under construction. Cab drivers charge extra to come on this route as the road conditions are horrible.

The built up of the hotel was good

The staff is very rude and not hospitable in any way !Specially the lady reception staff, I don’t know who they think they are! Very ill mannered ! I guess they forget that they are from the hospitality industry! I mean which hotel tells their guests to vacate on time and not allowing them to stay back for even 10 mins or else get charged for the whole day ???Very irresponsible people and a minus 10 for the management! The food is decent but over priced ! Not value for the money spent..Location wise it’s away from the city so a big NO if you are having work in the city .. commute is a pain! And also all the attractions around are in the city.I have been to many hotels in the past and this one hotel has been my worst experience ever !!I feel the money I spent there was all a waste !!The worst days spent of my tour !!

The front desk and all supporting staff. Management totally sucks and is absent.

Sent the GM a message three days ago- no response Rented a Royal suite for Rs.57,000 (three nights)1. Carpets were torn and stained 2. Shower took 15 minutes to be barely warm. Never hot. 3. Location was terrible. 9 km from the city4. Property is not tired, but exhausted5. Door key did not work properly and the staff had to help issue new keys6.. internet did not work for two days. IT had to change hardware in the room for the WIFi to work7. Last night lights in the entire suite went dark because a fuse blew. Staff stepped in and eventually made it work. Meanwhile I had to pack in the dark to move rooms. 1.5 star rating, but 3 star because of the staff.
